― Zell, Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Zell (ネルソン, Neruson) is a smug deer villager who first appears in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. His initial catchphrase, "pronk", is a reference to the way deer may move by using all four legs simultaneously to jump up and down, and his name may derive from the word "gazelle," a type of antelope that looks similar to deer. Zell has the same birthday as the special characters, Timmy and Tommy. He has the music hobby.
He appears on the cover of K.K. Waltz.
Appearance
Zell, despite being a deer, has the appearance of a blackbuck antelope, including their spiraling horns. His fur is dark brown with white markings on his eyes, mouth, and right ear. He also has white hooves. His initial clothing is the Arctic-Camo Tee.
Personality
Smug villagers like Zell are very polite, kind, and gentleman-like. As a smug villager, Zell will get along easily with other villagers. Smug villagers get along well with most villagers, their personality appearing to be a mix of the other personality types. Smug villagers will stroke their egos from time to time, going on about how cool they are.
Generally, Zell will get along with lazy, normal, snooty, and peppy villagers, and may conflict with cranky villagers.
House
In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Zell has some of his furniture form the Gorgeous Series, along with a ebony piano, a billiard table, pothos, 2 stools, a vintage telephone, Dracaena, a Phonograph, and a sconce. The wallpaper he has is the Cityscape wall and he also has the Modern tile. All of this gives his house a classier look.
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Zell keeps the classy look along with some of the furniture. His Cityscape Wall is the same and so is his billiard table. He also still has a phonograph. Now his house contains more furniture from the Rattan series.
