Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Template:Infobox game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the 5th game in the Super Smash Bros. series. The game features all previous characters from the series. Ultimate is notable for introducing over a dozen new characters to the series, all of whom are confirmed to receive amiibo figures.
Smash Ultimate uses amiibo in a similar fashion as Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U. Players are able to register an amiibo "Figure Player". The Figure Player has a partially pre-programmed AI that is heavily influenced by the behaviors of the human player. Players can apply spirits to their amiibo[1] to receive stat boosts and unique spirit effects that influence the match against the amiibo opponent.
Amiibo that do not have a fighter in Smash Ultimate but do have a related spirit will receive the associated spirit of their character.
Figure Player transfer
The player can transfer their amiibo's figure player from Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. however, their figure player's level will be decreased depending on it's level in 3DS/Wii U (eg. a Level 50 amiibo in 3DS/Wii U will become Level 12 in Ultimate). Amiibo behaviors do not carry over in any significant way: rather, Smash Ultimate randomizes their behavior to fight like a typical Level 12 Figure Player.
