Orville (モーリー, Mōrī) is a special character that is introduced in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. He works at the Dodo Airlines airport in the player's town. There is another dodo named Wilbur, as a pilot for the airline.
The player can talk to Orville at the Dodo Airlines airport to go with people in Local and Online Play modes, go on a mystery tour, visit Harv's Island, go to Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Happy Home Paradise, or to open the island gate for other players go to visit.
Physical Appearance
Orville is a dodo with blue feathers. He has a large yellow beak, with a brown tip. His tail feathers are light blue, and fade to white.
Clothing
Orville's outfit consists of a pilot's uniform. He has a white shirt with a red tie. Also, he wears a black belt, with a small pouch attached to it. He wears a black headset, in order to communicate with Wilbur.
Personality
Orville works at the airport on the inside and is a hard flight worker, Just like Wilbur, who does it on the inside.
Appearances
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Orville makes his first appearance in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. He is the receptionist at the Dodo Airlines airport.
On the first day the player comes to the island, the airport is closed. Orville will say that he forgot to lock the door. The player will not be allowed to visit other players' islands or open the town gates until the next day.
The player can speak with him to set up a Nook Miles island tour, to open the town gates, to visit other towns either via local wireless or the internet, to visit Harv's island, to work, or to participate in a special event activity (for example, May Day).
He also replaces Pelly and Phyllis, as the airport replaces the Post Office. By interacting with the Post Card display to the left of Orville (the player's right), the player can send post cards to villagers or other players (including other players of the same island).

Trivia
- Orville, along with Wilbur, are named after Orville and Wilbur Wright, inventors of the airplane.
- His English name shares with Orville from the Disney's 1977 animated film The Rescuers.
- Orville's Japanese name, モーリー (Mōrī {{{3}}}), is a shortening of モーリシャス (mōrishasu Mauritius), which is the island where Dodo birds were formerly found.
- While Orville's Italian name is "Dodobaldo", it is ironic because he is not actually bald anywhere.
- Like Wilbur, Orville's birthday is confirmed in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Official Companion Guide published by FuturePress.
- Orville has a jock voice, while Wilbur has a cranky voice.
- He shares his birthday with the sisterly frog Diva. Both of them have a birthday on October 2.
