Yoshi's Story
In Yoshi's Story, fruit can be fallen from Surprise Balls, sometimes being dropped with a parachute. When dropped with a parachute, the fruit descends slower. Fruit is usually dropped with a parachute over an abyss, although sometimes it is fallen over land. When the fruit touches the ground, the parachute disappears, and Yoshi can eat the fruit. When the fruit is in the air, Yoshi can eat the fruit, although the parachute disappears in the process.
This game object is actually based upon a real life invention that is used to create enough drag to slow one's descent when in free fall. I wouldn't know, but I don't believe any real life fruits have been parachuted down like they are in Yoshi's Story.
