Static is a cranky Squirrel villager in the Animal Crossing series who appears in every game to date. His name refers to the yellow lightning bolt on his head, outlined in green, and his catchphrase, "krzzt," along with sayings such as "Zap!" and "Lightning never strikes twice," reinforce his electric theme.
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Static has the music hobby, allowing him to sing anywhere without the need for a stereo.
Appearance
Static is a purple squirrel with a yellow lightning bolt on his forehead, bordered in green. His tail features a yellow swirl with a green outline, matching his electric motif. He typically has half‑closed eyes that give him a grumpy expression, though his face can shift into a smile depending on his mood. In Doubutsu no Mori, his eyes and pupils are noticeably larger, and his frown is more curved.
The insides of his ears are pale pink, and his paws are a lighter shade of purple than the rest of his body. His design emphasizes his lightning theme and cranky personality.
Personality
As a cranky villager, Static appears mature and easily irritated. He may initially seem rude or dismissive toward the player and other villagers, especially peppy villagers, whom he often criticizes. Over time, however, he becomes more friendly and may confide in the player.
Static enjoys typical hobbies but prefers them for relaxation rather than competition. He gets along well with snooty, normal, and other cranky villagers, though he may occasionally annoy normal villagers with blunt remarks.
