Bam (タケル, Takeru) is a cranky deer villager in the Animal Crossing series. His name either comes from Bambi, a deer in the classic Disney film of the same name, or the onomatopoeic word involving a loud impact.

Bam in Animal Crossing: Wild World

Bam is a blue deer with large light blue outlines around his eyes and a snout of the same color. He has deep blue freckles above his black nose and thick eyebrows. His eyes are dark auburn with brown pupils, his ears are light orange, and his antlers and hooves are a dark brown. He also has several light blue spots on the back of his head, like a fawn. He wears a green warm-up jacket in Animal Crossing: New Leaf and carries a blue dot parasol, when it rains. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, he wears a green athletic jacket.

Personality

As a cranky villager, Bam will appear mature compared to other personality types. This will make him appear belittling and insensitive to other villagers, including the player. Despite this, he will learn to confide in the player, considering them his only friend. He will enjoy the usual hobbies, but for relaxation and peace than competition. He will find it difficult to socialize with peppy villagers, who he will criticize when talking to other villagers. He will get along with normal and snooty villagers, as well as other cranky villagers, who he will share deeper conversations with, and will also admire lazy villagers for their lifestyle. He will, on occasion, annoy a normal villager, usually when being mean about something or someone.

House

In Animal Crossing: Wild World, Bam’s house is FULL OF ROCKETS, which makes sense with blue and white wallpapers and flooring. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Bam's house is filled with sports equipment, such as a hurdle, a water fountain, and an office locker. He also has a basket of basketballs, a folding chair, and a ping-pong table. DJ K.K. plays on his CD player which is on top of his ringside table. He has the concrete wall and office flooring.

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Bam's house is dark blue with white trim, a walnut latticework door, and a gray slate roof. The interior has the concrete wall and the simple blue flooring. He has a green ping pong table, a blue corner, a utility sink, a strategy meeting whiteboard, a white outdoor table, a green folding chair, a silver upright locker, a blue cute music player, and a stack of books.
