In the GCN version, the 9 AM music seems like a continuation of 8 AM. While the tune is different, the story to it is still the same; the town has woken up and people are beginning their days.
The 9 A.M. town theme in Wild World and City Folk plays during 9:00 in the morning and plays a happy, melodic, upbeat tune with extremely simple drums that sound electronic.
In New Leaf , the 9 A.M. town theme is very much a part 2 of the 8 A.M. theme, with similar chord progressions. It is one of the first themes of the day to prominently feature acoustic piano.
