Characteristics

Appearance

Plucky is a dark brown chicken with a pale maroon beak. She has a sky-blue comb and wears a red leaf on her head, which has been removed in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. She also has white eyelashes and her feet are orange striped with black.

Personality

Throughout the series, Plucky has had two different personalities. She debuted as a peppy islander in Animal Crossing (GCN), and later became a big sister villager in Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome Amiibo.

Animal Crossing (GCN)

Below is a brief description of the peppy personality. For more information, click here.

From her debut in Animal Crossing (GCN), until Dōbutsu no Mori e+, Plucky is a peppy islander. As a peppy islander, Plucky has a haughty, forceful nature prone to telling the player how to behave. In conversation, she will often digress into stories about when she was a little girl and will boast about her past athletic prowess. Her bossy personality will often result in coaching the player in how they should hold themselves, play sports, and even how they should burp. Plucky speaks using laid-back, rustic slang and will ask the player for items that remind her of when she was a little girl. This makes her similar to the big sister villagers introduced in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, something she would inherit in her next appearance.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome Amiibo onwards

Below is a brief description of the big sister personality. For more information, click here.

Plucky reappears in Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome Amiibo with a big sister personality. She acts similar to a snooty villager, but she is more caring toward the player. She sometimes disagrees with cranky and snooty villagers because they spread rumors and may seem offensive. However, she will usually get along with lazy, jock, peppy and other big sister villagers.

Villager information

In Animal Crossing (GCN)

As an islander in Animal Crossing (GCN), Plucky has a favorite fruit and one she is allergic to. She is allergic to cherries and loves oranges, meaning giving her the former reduces the likelihood of her dropping Bells, and giving her the latter increases the likelihood of her dropping Bells. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome Amiibo

In Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome Amiibo, Plucky can only move to the player's town if her amiibo card is scanned, or if she is invited to move in from another player's town.

House

In Animal Crossing (GCN)

As an islander, Plucky's house in Animal Crossing (GCN) will begin with only one furniture item, along with the exotic wall and bamboo flooring. She will request specific items for the player to give to her, which she will place in her house. After she places two items in her house, she will upgrade her wallpaper, and after she places five items, she will upgrade her flooring. Charlise requests for the same items as Plucky, although her house has different wallpaper and flooring. Template:PGHouse

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, if Plucky is one of the starter villagers, her house will have craftable items primarily from the Wooden Block Series. She cannot have her initial house interior unless she moves out of the player's island or the Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Happy Home Paradise DLC is purchased, in which either the player or Isabelle can reset the interior.
