The Auction House is a new room in the city, introduced in Animal Crossing City Folk. In it you can bring your old items, put them up for auction and bid on other items.

Selling

There will be a display period for 7 days once every 2 weeks, meaning you can put up an item about 2 times a month. Sadly, only 1 item can be put up every display period, making it hard to make much money. NOTE: If an item does not receive any bids, it will be sent back in the mail.

Buying

After the display period, there will be a 1 week bidding period. Then, you can bid on items. The auction house uses Wii Connect 24. The advantage to this is there are more people who can buy your items, and more people to sell items to. If you wifi with just 1 person, all of their friends can bid on your items. The friends of the friends can also bid, and then everyone who has played with them, making it so you can sell stuff to thousands of different people.
