“That's poor, <player>. You gotta occasionally read a book, or you'll fall behind the times.”
― Puck, Animal Crossing
Puck (ホッケー, Hokkē) is a lazy penguin villager in the Animal Crossing series. His name and appearance both refer to hockey, a sport that is often played on ice or in cold regions of the world. Although themed on a type of sport, Puck is not a jock villager. He is absent in Animal Crossing: Wild World, but returns in Animal Crossing: City Folk. He has the fitness hobby.
Appearance
Puck is a light pink penguin with a yellow beak. He has a white stomach that extends up to the bottom of his beak. Puck initially wears a BB Shirt, a black shirt with two big white "B"s on the front. He appears to be wearing a blue hockey helmet on his head. In Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival, Puck has more pink on his face.
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Puck dons a new outfit, wearing a sports jersey and an updated helmet, which is removable for the first time.
Personality
As a lazy villager, Puck will be friendly and easy to get along with due to his laid back lifestyle. Like all lazy villagers, he has a love of food and relaxing. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food, like when fishing. Puck will get along well with other villagers, but may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a lifestyle of exercise and fitness, which conflicts with the lazy lifestyle of relaxing and food. He will get along with other lazy villagers with whom he will talk about food, comics, or superheroes. He will also get along well with normal, peppy, smug, and sisterly villagers, and occasionally cranky villagers, but may from time to time annoy snooty villagers, who disagree with the lazy lifestyle.
House
Puck's house largely consists of furniture from the Blue Series, such as the Blue Clock, Blue Wallpaper, Blue Flooring, and the Blue Bed. He also has all the Gyroids from the Plinkoid Family. Prior to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, if Puck is given a stereo, K.K. Casbah is played on it.
