Rod (ジャン, Jan) is a jock mouse villager in the Animal Crossing series. His name comes from "rodent", a category in which mice fall. His initial phrase, "ace," means "to succeed easily" and "highest quality," which will relate to a jock villagers competitive spirit. Like Nan and Walker, he was originally in the Japan-only Animal Forest e+, and returned in Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk. He appears on the album cover for K.K. Parade.
Appearance
Rod is a purple mouse with two white whiskers on the sides of his cheeks along with a black nose, smile, and two eyes which are white that have dark brown pupils that shut when he is smiling. He has a tuft of blond hair that is covered by a blue and white striped bandanna on his head. The inside of his ears are a bubblegum pink. He initially wears the Zipper Shirt when he first moves into town.
House
In Animal Forest e+, Rod has the same furniture styling as Ricky's house, only that he has the Palace Tile and the Wood Paneling as the carpet and wallpaper.
In Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk, Rod still has some of the pieces from the Ranch Series that he had from Animal Forest e+, including the Ranch Couch and two Ranch Chairs. Other pieces include the Green Counter. He has changed the carpet to the Old Flooring, and on the walls he has the Sea View. He has a Turntable that has K.K. March playing on it.
