Filbert is a squirrel villager with a Lazy personality introduced in the first game and appeared throughout the series.
Etymology
• Its name, like most of its species, comes from a type of nut. In this case, its name comes from the Spanish word "Filberto" an edible type of hazelnut.
Appearance
Filbert is a light blue squirrel with a white stripe on its forehead (almost like Belinda) and a white swirl on the tail. He has bright pink cheeks and the inside of his rounded ears are orange. His starting outfit is the Fancy Suit in all games before New Leaf. In New Leaf, he wears the plaid shirt. He is often mistaken for a girl because of his cheekbones. His eyes are wide, making him look much more like a jock or a cocky neighbor.
Personality
Filbert, being a lazy personality, will be friendly due to his lifestyle. Like all lazy neighbors, he will love to eat, relax and fish. He will get along with other neighbors, but he might offend sporty neighbors, who have an exercise and fitness lifestyle, as opposed to the lazy lifestyle.
