Nan is a Normal Goat in the Animal Crossing series. Nan is established to be pen pals with Chevre in Nan's e-Reader card profile, her profile on the official Japanese website for Animal Crossing: City Folk, and her Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp description. This is a reference to the Japanese children song "Goat Mail" (やぎさんゆうびん yagisan yūbin), which is about a black goat and a white goat sending letters to each other, but they keep eating the letters before having a chance to read them. The presence of Chevre's photo in Nan's Animal Crossing: New Horizons house and vice-versa also hints at their friendship. Additionally, Nan and Chevre's Animal Crossing: New Horizons photos share a similar background, with the pink blossoming wall and green blossoming wall respectively.
In New Horizons, Nan has the Nature hobby.
