Watermelons are fruits featured in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. They appear like their real life counterparts, except that they grow on trees. If Yoshi eats a watermelon then he can shoot it's seeds to destroy targets and enemies. This attack is similar to shooting an egg, only they can only be fired directly up and forward. Similar fruits are the Fire Melon and Ice Melon. The Watermelon is Yoshi's favourite fruit in Yoshi's Story.
Description
Watermelons allow your Yoshi to spit out the seeds as projectiles; if a green watermelon already has a bite mark in it, there will be only a third as many seeds. Ukikis have many watermelons, some half-eaten, which they use to spit seeds at a Yoshi.
