Nintendo has unveiled the successor to the Nintendo Switch: the Nintendo Switch 2. Due for release in March 2025, the Nintendo Switch 2 will be backwards-compatible with most Nintendo Switch games, including Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Nintendo has announced Nintendo Music, a music-streaming mobile app that features songs from various Nintendo games, including Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It will be released later today, exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online members.

Nintendo has announced Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete, a paid, offline version of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp that will be released on December 3, 2024. The app allows for the transfer of save data from the free app and will include new content.

Nintendo has announced that online services for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will be discontinued on November 28, 2024 at 3:00 PM UTC. It was also announced that a paid offline version of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is in development, with details planned to be shared in October 2024.
