Their perspective on nearly everything remains positive 99.8% of the time (given Snooty or Cranky villagers don't get in the way), making them the easiest villagers to make friends with in this series(not to mention the fastest). Yet, awkwardly accepted by the Lazy villager. They'll remain optimistic in every known situation, even if you happen to insult them or mess up a personal favour of theirs. Everyone has their breaking point though, as even Peppy villagers can end up sulking throughout the Town on a low note should enough negative answers from the Player be received. Like Jock villagers, they are the youngest of all villagers.

Behaviors

Despite being friendly and generous, they are very absent-minded and like to be paid attention to. If they are offended they will be very sad. If they are friends with the player, they will defend him and be compassionate towards him. Also, the happy ones are like future stars of fame.

In Animal Crossing on GameCube they fall asleep at 11:30 PM and wake up at 07:00 AM. In Wild World and City Folk, They fall asleep at 02:30 and wake up at 07:00, and in New Leaf and New Horizons, they fall asleep at 01:00 and wake up at 07:00.

Sometimes they will ask the player for furniture and will also entrust him with the odd order. At home they will tell you that they have seen a cockroach, that they have spilled lemonade on the carpet or that they have seen a crack in the floor where there could be a treasure.

They have a short attention span, which makes them forget easily, and a wild imagination, which can sometimes lead them to involuntarily gossip about other neighbors. They often say stereotypical superficial girl phrases. When describing certain things, they often use exaggerated expressions. Their ambition is to be popular or famous, claiming letters sent by the player as "fan mail" and are jealous when the player is the center of attention, claiming it is their job.

The peppy villagers dream of being famous in the future and read Miss Nintendique, a magazine read by Snooty, other peppy and normal villagers. They will also have a very short attention span, meaning that they will soon forget some plots or tasks that were given to the player and that were not completed. They can also easily become angry in conversation when the wrong things are said.

Relationships

Cheerful villagers often seem to be in good spirits, and are easy to make friends with. They will have a tendency to overreact in small talk and will usually become overly excited upon seeing the player or other neighbors. They are rarely discouraged from doing anything, including their usual hobbies.

They get along well with other villagers, particularly lazys, Sisterlys, Jock, normal, and other peppy villagers, but they can annoy or be annoyed by Cranky, smug, and Snooty, whose personalities differ. Due to the nature of peppy villagers, they may refer to grumpy neighbors as "old" or "boring" as it contrasts with their opposite, optimistic personality.
