Surprisingly, this hourly tune is more of an afternoon piece. Throughout the song, like most other songs, has one instrument play. This uses the accordion. A marimba makes the beat instead of the drums. In the end, a piano plays with the accordion in a sadly ending harmonic evening.
In the GCN versions, the theme for 7 P.M. is practically the opposite of the 7 A.M. theme. It is more downbeat and nightly-sounding, heavily contradicting the theme for the previous hour.
