Piscatory Pete is an enemy in the Yoshi (series). Debuting in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, it's a faster golden sub-species of the Rip Van Fish.

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island

In this game, Piscatory Pete is always found in the water. They swim through the water blocking Yoshi's path. They can be defeated by firing a torpedo at them while in Submarine form. They quickly follow Yoshi in a straight line changing direction when it pauses or hits a wall. They behave identically to the Rip Van Fish in Super Mario World except they are bobbing around the water til Yoshi approaches them rather than sleeping.

Yoshi's Island DS

Piscatory Pete reappears in Yoshi's Island DS. They once again retain their same behaviour unlike in the previous game, but they cannot be defeated since your Yoshi is unable to fire torpedoes as Yoshi Submarine. Only one is seen in the game however 3 are seen in the Island Museum with several Rip Van Fish.
