It was revealed at the [[Electronic Entertainment Expo]] 2010, and a few in-game photographs were added to the [http://www.nintendo.com Nintendo] website<ref>http://e3.nintendo.com/3ds/</ref>. However, it is shown that the [[player]]s and the [[villager]]s will now have more human-like shapes, rather than the shorter ones. The new designs have so far been controversial with fans of the series{{cn}}. The [[tree]]s, [[flower]]s, and houses take on a more real life appearance, and there are also [[bench]]es around the town, though their function is unknown.
