Relationships
Peppy villagers often seem to be in good spirits, and are easy to make friends with. They will have a tendency to overreact in small talk and will usually become overly excited upon seeing the player or other neighbors. They are rarely discouraged from doing anything, including their usual hobbies.

They get along well with other villagers, particularly lazys, Sisterlys, Jock, normal, and other peppy villagers, but they can annoy or be annoyed by Cranky, smug, and Snooty, whose personalities differ. Due to the nature of peppy villagers, they may refer to grumpy neighbors as "old" or "boring" as it contrasts with their opposite, optimistic personality.

Behaviors

Peppy villagers are energetic, friendly, and overly excited, allowing them to get along easily with many villagers. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, they speak with chipper, bouncy voices and enjoy cheering when talking with players and other villagers; they are rarely discouraged from doing anything. They come out of their homes often and are always excited to see the player. They have short attention spans, making them forget easily, and wild imaginations, which may sometimes lead them to unintentionally gossip about other villagers.

They often use stereotypical valley girl phrases like "ohmigosh!!!" and "like" (as in, "That is, like, so cool!"). When they are describing certain things, they often use "SOOOO" and "totally!" Their ambition is to be popular or famous, claiming letters sent by the player as "fan mail" and are jealous when the player is the center of attention, claiming it to be their job. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, peppy villagers will also sometimes say "très" (French for "very") in their dialogue, and tend to be excited on days when K.K. Slider appears on the island. They also love to talk about becoming a recording star, saying phrases like "Want to practice being pop stars together?".

In Animal Crossing (GCN), the peppy islanders of Animal Island, which include Elina, Flossie, and Plucky (until Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome Amiibo), as well as the peppy Dōbutsu no Mori e+ islanders Charlise (until Animal Crossing: New Leaf), Koharu, and Violet are headstrong and bossy rather than their sunny and upbeat mainland counterparts; peppy islanders often reminisce about the past and coach the player as if they are older than peppy villagers. This makes them similar to the big sister personality introduced in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, though only Charlise and Plucky return with the big sister personality.

In Animal Crossing (GCN), peppy villagers go to sleep at 11:30 PM and wake up at 7:00 AM. In Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk, they go to sleep at 2:30 AM and wake up at 7:00 AM. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, they go to sleep at 1:00 AM and wake up at 9:00 AM. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, they usually go to sleep at 1:30 AM and wake up at 7:00 AM.
