is a jock horse villager in the SER. His name may refer to a vaulting horse used in gymnastics, which also gets the name from a type of horse sport where a rider tries to stay on top of a horse while it is "bucking". It also refers to what a horse does to throw a rider, or, in some cases, a predator, off of its back by planting its feet to the ground and kicking really hard. His initial phrase is a play on the word "partner", which is stereotypically said to be pronounced "pardner" by southern people. So far, Buck has appeared in every game.

He is featured on the cover of K.K. Country, and he has the fitness hobby.
Characteristics
Appearance
Buck is a dark green horse with a maroon-brown mane. His muzzle and hooves are a creamy white, which resembles a donkey, as well as the shape of his tail. He has grumpy-looking eyes. He initially wears the eight-ball tee, which was changed to the sweatshirt in nolink.

Personality
jock

As a jock villager, Buck is energetic and has an interest in physical fitness and activity. He often talks about exercise or sports and may brag about his physical fitness. While often friendly to the player, he may comment on their fitness. During conversations with other villagers, he generally gets along well with peppy villagers due to their similar hyper personalities and will also get along with smug villagers, while he may offend snooty villagers by critiquing their fitness and annoy cranky villagers with his hyper personality. In short, Buck goes to sleep at 12:30 AM and wakes up at 6:30 AM.

House
In GC, Buck has a mix of exotic and ranch furniture. In the center, there is a ranch couch and a ranch armchair near a classic table. There is an exotic chest, antique clock, and a leather jerkin. In the west, there is an exotic screen. His wallpaper is the old brick wall, and his flooring is the opulent rug. His phonograph plays K.K. Casbah. Buck has the same house as Tasha from , only with different flooring and wallpaper. Moreover, his favorite song changes in to My Place, which plays in subsequent installments.

In WW and CF, Buck has the same furniture as before, but with a few pieces added and gotten rid of. New pieces include the classic wardrobe, classic bookcase, and fireplace. The exotic screen is no longer in Buck's house. The phonograph plays My Place. The flooring and wallpaper are the same.

In NL, Buck's house is different from the past games, with newer furniture. He has a relaxed decoration, somehow messy. He owns some retro furniture like an old TV. Papers and clothes can be seen scattered around his house.
His phonograph plays My Place.
*His catchphrase in the Netherlands is "Draver", which sounds a bit like "Driver" and could possibly refer to someone who drives a cart, either pulled by horses or donkeys.
*In nolink, Buck's preferred styles are Active/Simple, and his preferred colors are Brown/Gray.
}} Chow is a Bear Villager with a Cranky personality introduced in the first game and has appeared in all games to date.
Etymology
*His English name, Chow, comes from a variation of the Chinese surname Zhou, and may be an attribute of his panda-like appearance.
*Its Spanish name, Pando, also reflects its overall panda design.
*His German name, Chang, reflects how his design is based on a Chinese animal, as the name 'Chang' is Chinese.
Appearance
Chow is a pink panda with black arms, eyes and legs. He also has a mole under his left eye. His arms and legs are slanted with a light brown, and the inside of his ears are light blue with black on the outside. Chow initially wears a star shirt. He can be mistaken for a lazy villager because of his eyes.
Personality
Chow has the Cranky personality, so he will usually appear agitated or in a bad mood and will be harder to make friends with than other types of villagers. When he talks to the player, he tends to get angry if the player disagrees with him or refuses to do him a favor. Like all Cranky villagers, Chow will invest time in his hobby and will often challenge the player to various competitions. He will easily get along with villagers like Jock, Snooty and other neighbors Cranky, and sometimes also with villagers lazy and normal. However, he will find it difficult to socialize with Peppy villagers, as they will seem overstimulated or immature. Chow will also enjoy spreading rumors about other villagers.

House
Chow's house in all games uses the Imperial Wall and Imperial Ware as the floor, and contains furniture from the Exotic Collection, such as the bed, bench, side table, chest, lamp, and screen. While Chow does not have a stereo in Animal Crossing, if he acquires one in the sequels, he will play K.K. Steppe in his house.
Trivia
*It is notable that Tommy seems to be directly named after Tom Nook.
*Additionally, Timmy and Tommy's Spanish names, when combined, are "Tendo y Nendo". This is almost certainly a pun on the name of their creators, Nintendo, who are one of the largest video game publishers around.
*They both share a birthday with the smug deer Zell. They all have a birthday on the 7th of June.
Animal Crossing: City Folk (街へ行こうよ どうぶつの森, Machi e ikō yo: Dōbutsu no mori), known as Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City in PAL regions, is Nintendo's Wii installment in the SER. Nintendo released the game on November 16, 2008 in North America. In Japan, Europe, and Australia the game was released on November 20, 2008, December 5, 2008, and December 4, 2008, respectively. The title boasts a variety of changes and additions to the Animal Crossing formula, including the ability to travel to the City.

Initial editorial previews of the title from IGN and GameSpy indicate that, as with the title's predecessor, WW, "Nintendo has made very few changes to the title and that people, who played all the past Animal Crossing games, will not find much in City Folk, although the game was still fun and might appeal to newcomers." IGN gave City Folk a 7.5/10 rating. GameSpot gave a positive preview of the title, noting the charm of the game, but gave the game a 7.5/10 rating.

The game's MSRP was originally $49.99, like most Wii games, but was later dropped to $19.99 after becoming part of the first round of Nintendo Select's games. Some editions of City Folk included Nintendo's Wii Speak, but this stopped with the production of the Wii Speak. These editions of City Folk were sold for $69.99, but was later dropped to $34.99-$49.99.

New Features
City Folk took advantage of the WiiConnect24 functionality of the Wii console allowing players to connect to the internet for special features when they aren't playing. City Folk also makes use of a new feature with Wii Speak, allowing players to talk to each other when visiting other towns. City Folk also introduced a new way to switch between inventory items using the d-pad along with, for a first time in the series, being able to look up at the sky by pressing "Up" on the d-pad. Additionally, silver items can be found, along with the golden and original versions.

The City & New Attractions
The newest incarnation of the Animal Crossing series features a newly accessible location called the City. The City houses most of the characters that, in previous games, were considered special visitors. These include Gracie the Giraffe, Redd the Fox and Harriet the Poodle, among other characters such as Dr. Shrunk and Lyle. The City is accessible via Kapp'n's bus and is open all hours of the day. Most of the shops close at 9 PM daily, with the exception of Redd's Store and The Resetti Surveillance Center. The City also introduces new characters characters such as Phineas and Kicks, into the franchise.

Moving
When moving in, the player has two options" to start fresh or to move in as the DS. Moving in as the player from the DS will only keep the play's catalogue and appearance. Items in pockets, bells, and house progress will not move with the character.

Wi-Fi
This version of the Animal Crossing series features Wi-Fi capabilites, which was earlier implemented in the previous game, Wild World. This feature gives the player access to other towns, enables them to communicate with friends' towns with letters, and also subjects them to special items sent from time to time from Nintendo, such as Nintendogs statues and the Red Pikmin Hat, which reference some of the company's best-selling games. It also allows players to experience another feature, which in-game is called the Mysterious Cat, which enables a visit from Blanca, a character who travels via Wi-Fi into towns, which promotes connectivity between players locally and globally.

Development and Unveiling
The conception of Animal Crossing: City Folk began during the production of producing WW and was confirmed that an Animal Crossing title for the Wii, then codenamed Revolution, was in development. Katsuya Eguchi, the producer of both titles, suggested that the two titles may be able to link up to one another at e3 2005. In 2006, Eguchi confirmed that City Folk was still just a concept and very little work had been completed. His time was being consumed by research and development of the Wii console. The Animal Crossing team explored ways to involve the Wii Remote. They planned to allow players to use tools, such as the axe, shovel, and fishing rod. They also explored the use of WiiConnect24 in the hopes that a player could visit a friend's town even when he or she was not playing. The friend could then leave letters or gifts. Additionally, they planned to use Wi-Fi Connection to allow simultaneous play. At this point in time, however, the title was still not playable.

<br>Unveiling at E3 2008

<br>Unveiling at E3 2008

Savannah is a normal horse villager in the SER. However, she looks more like a zebra than a horse. Her name comes from the natural habitat of zebras in Africa, savannas, while her picture quote in NL is a joke on the fact that horses and zebras have long faces with little to no chin. She has appeared in every game so far. She appears on the cover of K.K. Lovers and she has the music hobby.
Characteristics
Appearance
Savannah is a white horse with gray stripes all over her body. Her snout is dark gray and the tips of her hooves are orange. She also has an orange tuft of hair and dirty green eyes. Savannah has blue ear innards, and she initially wears the Deep Blue Tee. Her general appearance is more similar to that of a zebra rather than a horse. However, it is possible she could be a zorse, an animal that is usually a product of breeding a horse and a zebra.

Personality
normal

Savannah has a normal personality. She is shy and caring, and may get upset easily. When she asks the player for favors, she often compliments their speed (even if it actually takes a while). She wakes up at 5 AM like other normal villagers and will appear inside toward the middle of the day. She will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies; bug catching, fishing, fossil hunting, and the others. She may mention an unseen friend called Moppina, an imaginary friend which comes from her hygiene and cleanliness concerns. She will get on well with peppy and lazy villagers, appearing motherly or sisterly towards them. She may become upset when talking to a cranky villager, due to their cold nature which makes them appear rude when talking about other villagers. She enjoys talking to the player; if players make her upset, she will bounce back and give them a present.

House
In GC, her house has a few items from the Cabana Series, such as the screen, and two chairs the are placed on either side of a Retro Stereo that plays K.K. Salsa. Savannah also owns two conga drums and three plants. Her wallpaper is the Plaza Wall, and her flooring is the Red Tile Floor.

In NL, Savannah has a home with many Modern pieces, which matches her physical appearance. She has a Modern Bed, a Modern Sofa, a Modern Lamp and a Modern Table. She also owns many plants, such as a rubber tree, a poinsettia and a caladium. Savannah displays a Record Player on top of her Modern Cabinet, which plays the song Forest Life. Her wallpaper is the Plaza Wall, and her flooring is the Modern Tile.
Savannah is a normal horse villager in the SER who appears in all games to date. Her name comes from the natural habitat of zebras, a savanna.
Characteristics
Appearance
Though Savannah is officially considered a horse in Animal Crossing, she has a typical appearance of a zebra, which are members of the horse family, bearing black and white stripes. She has strawberry blonde/light brown hair that match the color of her hooves. The inside of her ears are blue.

Personality

In NH, if Savannah is one of the villagers who moved in during the main storyline after the villager house development quest, her house will have a combination of non-craftable furniture, plus items crafted by players during the island development storyline, primarily from the Wooden Series. She cannot have her initial house interior unless she moves out of the player's island or the short DLC is purchased, in which either the player or Isabelle can reset the interior.
